A lot has happened since the last post. We set off on a camping trip and were a little disappointed by the lack of kangaroos seen on the way down to Potato Point which is 4 or 5 hours south of Sydney on the East coast. But as we left the main highway we saw more and more and when we pulled in to the campsite, there were dozens all over the site. And as long as you don't mind kangaroo poo, it was a really good site. We saw snakes, lizards, insects and birds, and 3 species of kangaroo - The Eastern Grey kangaroo, and red-necked wallabies were on the campsite, and we caught an occasional glimpse of black wallabies but they were much more shy than the others.

Then, because it rained for most of our stay on the East coast, we moved into the Snowy Mountains at a place called Corryong. Less obvious wildlife here, but there's still plenty around. And when we climbed Australia's highest mountain - Mt. Kosciuscko, there were some amazing wildflowers.
